We are recruiting an experienced HSE Technical Writer for a Perth-based business supporting the resources sector. You will help align, integrate and improve HSE process documentation, working with HSE, operations, technical and training teams to review documents, identify gaps and update processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Review existing HSE document repositories, project control documents and process documentation.
* Conduct gap analysis to identify inconsistencies, duplication, missing information and areas requiring alignment.
* Rewrite, update and align HSE process documents in line with integration requirements.
* Work closely with technical working groups and subject matter experts to validate technical content.
* Ensure documentation is accurate, practical and easy to understand.
* Liaise with training teams to ensure updated documentation supports training, implementation and user understanding.
* Support the development of clear, consistent and fit-for-purpose HSE procedures, processes and control documents.
* Engage with key stakeholders across HSE, operations, technical teams and training.
* Maintain strong document control, version control and governance practices throughout the review and update process.
* Use systems such as SharePoint to manage, review and update documentation repositories.
* Support project tracking, planning and reporting activities.
* Ensure all documentation is written in a clear, structured and user-friendly format.
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in HSE document writing, technical writing or safety management system documentation.
* Strong understanding of HSE processes, procedures, controls and management systems.
* Demonstrated ability to review existing documentation and conduct gap analysis.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including ability to work with SMEs, technical working groups and training teams.
* Ability to translate technical and operational information into clear, practical documentation.
* Experience using SharePoint for document management, collaboration or document repositories would be highly beneficial.
* MS Project experience would be highly beneficial.
* Experience supporting business integration, transformation or system alignment projects would be highly regarded.
* Experience in industrial services, resources, oil and gas, utilities, waste management or similar environments would be beneficial.
* You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role.
