(Nurse Grade 7) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus great Salary Sacrificing ( https://www.careers.health.qld.gov.au/working-for-us/salary-and-benefits/salary-packaging ) options Flexible working arrangements may be available About your opportunityThe purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical leadership, clinical expertise, and education relevant to the speciality of Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) for children and adolescents to improve the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of RHD and Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF). The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will provide case management and care co-ordination for all children and adolescents to ensure a smooth transition to adult cardiology services. The CNC is required to co-ordinate and participate in RHD clinics, transition clinics, outreach to Palm Island and other rural sites. The position is embedded with the Paediatric Cardiology team and works collaboratively and cohesively with various stakeholders across primary, secondary, tertiary settings, and non-government agencies to support the delivery of evidence based clinical care to achieve the priorities and actions of the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rheumatic Heart Disease Action Plan within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Requirements Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Highly desirable Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field, such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
