MyCDP support the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program as well as other community-based programs servicing Ngukurr, Numbulwar, Minyerri, Jilkminggan and Mataranka in the Northern Territory.
We are seeking to engage a full time Project Manager to join our highly performing and motivated team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The role will be based in Katherine with regular travel out to the communities.
The role will provide a high level of administrative assistance to the Chief Executive Officer in implementing strategy and direction of the broader business leadership team.
The role will also be supporting the project writing/submission function within the company and being responsible for implementing and managing successful contractual arrangements, in consultation with the CEO and senior representatives to ensure contractual compliance is achieved.
This business-critical role will be responsible for the identification and formulation of suitable processes, guiding senior staff in contract decision making in accordance with established contractual practices, coordinating management staff in the delivery of service models and the management, establish and maintain effective management reporting of contract KPI's, issues disputes, variations, risks and undertaking collation and writing of high-quality responses and funding commitments.
The successful candidate will need to have knowledge and experience working within remote indigenous communities.
Your duties will include:
Creation of clear, concise project mandates, business cases and project plans and response documents according to defined tender criteria.
Development of key messages for each tender/submission and ensuring these are effectively and consistently included.
Development and growth of a submission content suite.
Manage the group project contractual function, including manage allocated contract implementation and transition, compose, and maintain complex up to date contract documentation (including contract management plans), procedures, identify and track KPI's and Milestone and liaising with internal and external stakeholders in the development of performance reporting.
Project manage the development of contractual timelines and funding submissions, coordinating internal and external resources necessary to ensure timely submission of bids.
Assist with arranging training and working with registered RTOs in the areas to develop the community's capability, capacity and growth
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following criteria:
Demonstrated experience in a project/contract management (or equivalent) role in a remote community environment and a good working knowledge of contract management processes and techniques.
High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders in providing expert contract management advice to enable achievement of desired outcomes.
Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills including the ability to use MS Excel, Database and Reporting systems
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver project outcomes within specified parameters including timeframes and objectives.
Ability to work under limited direction, including experience in planning, prioritising, and organising work for self and others to achieve goals and deadlines.
Demonstrated knowledge of government legislation, audit regulations, legal obligations and State policies relating to strategic across government contracts.
High level communication skills at all levels (written and verbal) and the ability to undertake negotiations with Senior Management in responding to contractual requests.
Must hold or have the ability to obtain appropriate clearances for working with vulnerable people.
