Although based in QLD we consult to properties all over the country resulting in a wide array of exposure and experience to different properties and relative state based legislation.
Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing business while working closely with our leadership team. The successful candidate will be required to work from either our Brisbane or Sunshine Coast office, work effectively within our enthusiastic team environment and be able to demonstrate an ability to engage effectively with our clients. Day-to-day tasks may include measurement via CostX software, historical and current construction cost estimating, life cycle cost analysis, site consultations and engagement with clientele. These skills will assist with the delivery of Insurance Reinstatement Valuations, Sinking Fund Forecasts and other life cycle cost reporting, Tax Depreciation and expert asset management services as well as Financier progress claim / draw down assessments.
Qualifications/Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Experience and knowledge in CostX measurement software is a plus
* Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in Australia as a QS under a cadetship program or similar
* Working towards accreditation of AIQS preferred
* Client facing skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Driver's licence (preferred)
