Mighty Orchid Services Pty Ltd is seeking an HR Advisor to support HR functions, ensuring smooth day‐to‐day operations, and promoting a positive work environment. This position requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can manage HR processes efficiently while ensuring compliance with the NDIS, Fair Work Act, and workplace safety regulations, including interpretation of the SCHADS Award.
Responsibilities
* Employee lifecycle management: advertising vacancies, interviewing and testing applicants, selecting staff, onboarding, induction, and maintaining employee records and contracts.
* Facilitate probation reviews and exit interviews.
* Compliance & policy adherence: align HR processes with NDIS, Fair Work, and safety regulations; support HR audits and policy updates.
* Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational objectives; advise management on workplace relations, performance, and disciplinary matters.
* Study and interpret legislation, awards, collective agreements, employment contracts, wage systems, and dispute settlement procedures.
* Act as a key contact for employee queries, resolve disputes and grievances, promote an inclusive environment, and support performance management.
* Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
* HR administration & payroll support: assist payroll with HR documentation, maintain databases, support record‐keeping, and help formulate enterprise agreements.
* Training & development: coordinate staff training sessions, maintain training records, and support professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
* Qualification in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience); at least 2 years of experience in a technical HR role.
* Experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in the disability services or community sector.
* Strong understanding of NDIS, Fair Work Act, SCHADS Awards, and HR compliance requirements.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
* Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and payroll systems.
* Proactive, positive problem‐solving approach; high integrity and professionalism.
