* The successful candidate will work closely with the Environmental Representative to ensure regulatory compliance, support post-approval activities, and manage all relevant advisors and contractors.

This is a pivotal role in managing environmental assessments, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project outcomes. The Planning Approvals Manager will coordinate the development and exhibition of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), engage with government agencies, and provide strategic input to project design to mitigate environmental impacts.

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management, strong negotiation skills, and a proven ability to navigate complex environmental and planning frameworks. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams across divisions and external partners, including contractors, consultants, regulators, and community groups.

Additionally, the successful candidate will engage with government agencies, provide strategic input to design, and facilitate post-approval activities.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a tertiary qualification in environmental science, planning, engineering, or a similar field, and a minimum of 8 years' experience in major infrastructure projects. Client-side experience within NSW Government is preferred, as is extensive knowledge of NSW environmental planning approvals and the EPBC Act.
