Position: Environmental Lead
Responsibilities
* Engaging, educating, and coaching the workforce and management team on environmental requirements through pre‐start and toolbox talks.
* Assisting the HSE Manager in leading the environmental team and promoting industry best practice.
* Helping produce project procedures, policies, and practices related to setting sustainability efforts and emissions targets.
* Ensuring project documentation remains current with the latest sector‐specific regulations, standards, and practices.
* Implementing, monitoring, and continuously assessing improvement actions to meet requirements.
* Maintaining environmental data and reporting systems (e.g., INX or similar).
* Facilitating the workforce, management team, and client in reviewing each construction stage to improve environmental performance and compliance.
* Identifying critical improvements and innovations during planning and execution to ensure full compliance, reduce delays, and resolve conflicts.
* Preparing weekly and monthly reports for MPK management and the client.
* Advising the project team on environmental risks identified for the project.
* Assisting the HSE Manager with incident investigations and drafting reports.
* Participating in environmental audits required by clients or regulators.
* Managing immediate responses to environmental incidents (cleanup) and initiating investigations, reporting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
* Assisting with HSE processes required for operational compliance and implementation.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in an Environmental Advisor role or similar.
* Experience working autonomously in a site‐based environment.
* Experience with environmental monitoring, reporting, and data management.
* Experience supporting monitoring in accordance with compliance targets and regulations.
* Previous provision of environmental reports.
