Our Theatre Department at Dudley Private and Ramsay Surgical Centre offers an extensive range of surgical services across 8 fully equipped operating theatres. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit working closely with the theatre floor managers to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practice.Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services you will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed.Skills And ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow with a focus on education, training and skill-based learning. You hold exceptional communication skills and have the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team.You will also demonstrate the following:Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.Minimum of five years’ experience in an acute hospital environment essentialDemonstrate experience in a leadership or management roleExperience and knowledge with theatre, anaesthetics and recovery requirementsProven ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resourcesAbility to plan, develop, implement and evaluate continuous improvement programAbility to apply research findings to clinical practiceHighly desirable:Post graduate studies in nursing leadershipSound computer skills in MS Office suite including ExcelWhat’s in it for you?Professional Advancement:Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
