Job Description
* Lead end‐to‐end transport operations with real impact on efficiency
* Drive cost savings via route optimisation and fleet performance improvements
* Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of abnormal size and shape goods.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise logistics and reduce costs.
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders.
* Monitor and report on transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Coordinate maintenance and servicing of the transport fleet.
* Lead and mentor the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.
* Address and resolve any transport-related issues or delays promptly.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Transport Manager should have:
* Proven experience in transport or logistics management, ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
* Proven experience working with complex and abnormal size and shape loads.
* Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.
* Be willing to work in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
* Familiarity with fleet management and maintenance practices.
