About the role
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join our team at an Indian Restaurant in South Townsville QLD 4810. As a full-time Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for providing essential support in our busy kitchen, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food preparation and service processes.
What you\'ll be doing
* Preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation tasks as directed by the Head Chef
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
* Ensuring all kitchen equipment and work areas are clean, sanitised and well-stocked
* Supporting the team with plating, garnishing and presenting completed dishes
* Following all food safety and health and safety regulations
* Providing excellent customer service to patrons
* Assisting with any other kitchen-related duties as required
What we\'re looking for
* Minimum 12 months experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
* Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service
* Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure
