About the role

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for the role of Board Administrator. This position plays a crucial role in providing confidential administrative, planning and organisational support to the Orica Limited Board and Company Secretariat team. Working closely with the Company Secretary and Deputy Company Secretary, your role is to ensure the smooth operation of Board and Committee meetings and assist with managing key governance processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for board and committee administration, meeting coordination, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining compliance with company policies and governance best practices. Your ability to work with senior leaders, maintain discretion, manage multiple priorities, and execute seamless board operations will be key to success.

What you will be doing

Board & Committee Administration

* Manage and coordinate Board and Committee meetings and papers, including preparation of agendas, run sheets, minute shells and electronic board books, using Diligent Boards.
* Manage and coordinate Director logistics, scheduling, and travel and meeting arrangements, including Board site visits
* Support new Director onboarding, coordinate director expense management and provide technology support.
* Manage Board and Committee calendars, key milestones and deadlines across the governance cycle.
* Lead administrator of Diligent Boards platform including managing Diligent processes, including day-to-day supplier relationship management where required.

Governance & Compliance Support

* Work closely with the Company Secretary and Deputy Company Secretary to facilitate smooth Board operations.
* Maintain compliance with Orica's governance procedures and travel policies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement

* Serve as a key point of contact for Board-related queries, handling confidential correspondence with discretion.
* Maintain strong relationships with directors, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practice governance support

What you will bring

* 5 years of experience in a similar governance or board administration role.
* Certificate in Business Administration or Governance Practice
* Strong organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Diligent Board Books.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and handle sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
