Job Description
We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Engine Repairs for our Service segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and completing less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.
In this role, you will make an impact by engaging customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs. You will use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
You will perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field. If any unresolved issues arise, you will escalate them to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
Additionally, you will be responsible for completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. You will also identify additional service opportunities with customers and complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
Maintaining service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation is also a key responsibility. Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and legislation, and reporting any issues/incidents to site management and supervisor, is crucial.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need the following: Australian recognised Trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle), Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred), experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products.
Ideally, you should possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge. Hitachi, Komatsu & Liebherr experience is highly desirable. Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers are essential.
