About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented
Payroll Officer
to manage payroll activities across the company. This role ensures accurate employee payments, compliance with Australian regulations, and efficient coordination between HR, Compliance and Finance.
This on-site role is ideal for someone organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
* Maintain and update employee records, leave balances and payroll data.
* Ensure payroll practices comply with Australian laws, Fair Work requirements and internal policies.
* Prepare basic payroll reports and support audits when required.
* Handle employee queries related to payroll, payslips and entitlements.
* Work with HR, Finance and Compliance teams to support smooth payroll operations.
Preferred Experience & Skills
* At least 1–2 years' payroll or finance administration experience (financial services or mortgage industry advantage).
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Good understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and tax requirements.
* Experience with payroll systems such as Xero, KeyPay, MYOB or similar.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data.
* Good communication skills and ability to manage confidential information.
* Organised and proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
