About the opportunity

The Australian Maritime College (AMC) is looking for a Lecturer in Maritime and Logistics Management to join their team. AMC is a national institute providing maritime education, training and research across seafaring, maritime engineering, and maritime and logistics management. The AMC's Centre for Maritime and Logistics Management (CMLM) delivers degrees in Maritime, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

This is a teaching‐intensive position offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to high‐quality education through teaching, scholarship, and academic service. The role involves the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars, assessment design and marking, and the supervision of student research projects.

As our new Lecturer in Maritime and Logistics Management, you will play an active role in shaping the learning experience through curriculum design and development, and will contribute to the coordination, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing enhancement of contemporary and innovative programmes, including the use of flexible and blended approaches to teaching and assessment.

You will also be supported and encouraged to sustain a strong and evolving profile of scholarly, research, and professional engagement aligned with the CMLM discipline, as well as conducting supervision of Research Higher Degree students and administrative duties within the CMLM where appropriate.

What you'll do:

* Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
* Undertake high-quality research of national and increasingly of international standing, secure external competitive and other funding, publish research findings and contribute to the successful supervision of research higher degree students.
* Undertake scholarly undergraduate and postgraduate coursework teaching of a high quality.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry and/or wider community.

What we're looking for:

* A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
* A good record of, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved national recognition and made worthwhile contributions to the field of Transportation, logistics and supply chains.
* Experience in University-level teaching and learning.
* A record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry and wider community.
* Industry experience relevant to the position would be highly desirable.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,885 comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $133,235 plus 17% superannuation.
