We're looking for a high-energy Group Account Director to grow our Melbourne business. You are an experienced communications leader with deep expertise across earned media, social media, influencer marketing, events and corporate communications, energised by the opportunity to work directly with our Brisbane executive team to scale our Melbourne business.

Steady Ground is our corporate communications arm, specialising in reputation management, crisis strategy, and First Nations communications. Under one roof, we unite the art of consumer marketing with the rigour of corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and drive integrated communications strategies across corporate communications, earned media, influencer marketing, social media and events.
* Manage daily on‐site operations in Melbourne, fostering a high‐performance culture and scaling the local team.
* Own the commercial profitability, resourcing and strategic delivery of client accounts.
* Actively network to grow our client portfolio, pitch for new business, convert leads and expand current client mandates.
* Serve as a calm, trusted escalation point to guide corporate and consumer clients through high‐pressure crisis scenarios.
Qualifications & Experience
* 10+ years of deep experience within an agency environment paired with a solid track record of partnering with large multinational brands.
* Executive‐level clients view you as a consultative advisor who connects creative PR output directly to tangible business performance.
* Natural leader and mentor, able to build team capability, model professional maturity and bring infectious energy.
* Hands‐on strategist who is passionate about writing, pitching and driving day‐to‐day delivery.
* Media savvy with established relationships with national news, consumer and lifestyle media.
* Commercially sharp understanding of agency economics, confident managing budgets, forecasting resourcing and remaining commercially accountable.
