Our ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of accounting and financial reporting activities to support business operations. They will report directly to the Chief Accountant, delivering accurate financial reports in compliance with local GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver timely month-end close and general ledger analysis.
* Conduct detailed analysis of the general ledger, identifying and resolving issues or anomalies.
* Collaborate closely with Business Controllers during monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Additionally, they will perform general accounting tasks, including posting and reviewing journal entries, and support annual audits processes. They will also assist in preparing statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in commerce or business with a major in accounting or equivalent, and membership of CAANZ/CPA. Previous accounting experience in a commercial environment, particularly in month-end activities, is preferred. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage workflow with minimal supervision.
