The role

We are seeking a leader with strong community development and project management experience, and initiative required to activate programs in Cairnlea Community Hub and Hunt Club Community & Arts Centre.

As part of the senior Neighbourhood House team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to lead the delivery of programs and initiatives in Brimbank. The role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of staff and volunteers, while fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and vibrant community environment.

* Leading co‐design processes with target communities in Brimbank to develop new programs and projects that respond to community needs and align with the Council Plan
* Supporting the activation and growth of community arts spaces, including creative, cultural, and participatory programs
* Developing and maintaining positive relationships with community groups, local organisations, artists, stakeholders, and relevant Council departments
* Participating in and contributing to local and industry networks
* Demonstrating a proactive, positive, and collaborative approach to community development and service delivery
Qualifications
* University degree in an area appropriate to the position, e.g. Community Development, Teaching, or equivalent substantial experience may be considered
* Experience of high‐level technology applications and information retrieval
* Extensive community development experience
* Working with Children Check (or successful check completed within 4 weeks of commencement)
* Valid Driver's licence
