Job Description About the Role
SCT Logistics are looking for dedicated and motivated Full Time HC Truck Drivers to join our logistics team on Dayshift or Afternoon Shift. These are local metro driving roles where you will deliver general freight consignments to a wide range of valued SCT customers. Our fleet are new IVECO trucks that are maintained to high industry standards at all times.
Day Shift 6.00am to 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift 2.30pm to 10.30pm
Overtime is available on weekends and public holidays, and for those applicants who hold a forklift license they will be able to assist our warehouse operations during low volume periods and also during overtime requirements.
SCT Logistics Depot is located inPenfieldwhere you will arrive and leave each shift.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the positionincludes the following responsibilities:
* Delivery of SCT Trailers and Containers to metro Distribution Centers
* Movement of containers, trailers around the yard as required
* Complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain a daily truck log and record of customer deliveries and pickups
* Comply with NHVR requirements
* Sort Delivery Run Sheets and Proof of Delivery paperwork
* Restrain loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
* Check accuracy of palletised and packed loads
* Ensure compliance with all SCT Company Safety policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
* Operate MT DATA or similar Fleet Management System
* Provide a high level of customer service to our valued customers.
Desired Skills and Experience Essential Licensing, Experience and Requirements:
The successful candidate must:
* Hold aHC License
* Ideally hold a Forklift licence
* Have a minimum of2 years commercial driving experience in the metro area
* Pass a Commercial Vehicle Driver pre-employment medical andfitness assessment
* Be able to obtain and maintain aNational Police Clearance
* Be competent at reversing and trailing hitching/unhitching on finger docks
* Hold a Fatigue Regulations Certificate
* Be physically fit to be able pull curtains, straploads and perform other manual tasks
* Be ableto prioritise assigned tasks in real time and adapt to changing requirements
* Perform safe vehicle operations
* Be well presented, professional andreliable.
