Job Summary
Civmec, an Australian‐owned heavy engineering and construction services provider, is seeking experienced Carpenter Formworkers to support our upcoming Port Debottlenecking Project for the PDP2 civil works package at BHP's Nelson Point. The role involves construction of a new Car Dumper 6 (CD6) and associated civil and structural works, including vault, tunnel, positioner slabs, substation, dust scrubber and conveyor interfaces.
Responsibilities
* Interpret drawings and specifications.
* Mark and line out formwork.
* Erect and dismantle formwork as instructed.
* Perform second fixing.
* Assist with steel fixing when required.
* Inspect and ensure formworks and temporary works are firmly secured prior to concrete pour.
* Complete placing of concrete.
Qualifications
* Trade qualification in Carpentry.
* Minimum 2 years industrial experience in Carpentry/Formworking.
* Previous construction experience within mining and resources is preferable.
* Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card (White Card).
