As a strong people leader, you will foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment, empowering staff to deliver compassionate, consistent and effective support to those navigating the recovery and compensation process.Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the role supports CFA's strategic objectives by promoting best practice injury management, sustainable volunteer compensation schemes, and return-to-work outcomes that exceed industry benchmarks.Key responsibilities:Lead and inspire a high-performing team delivering injury recovery and compensation services for CFA employees and volunteers.Provide oversight of claims and injury recovery processes, ensuring compliant, consistent and timely outcomes.Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and WorkCover agents to achieve safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes.Drive a culture of continuous improvement through performance insights, data-driven decision-making and enhancements to service delivery.A detailed position description is attached.About youStrong technical knowledge and understanding of compensation schemes with the ability to interpret and apply associated legislation.Leadership skills and ability to obtain and maintain effective cooperation and contribution of diverse stakeholders.People management expertise and ability to lead and develop a specialist resource team.High level written and verbal communication skills and collaborative relationship building skills.Ability to provide authoritative, specialist advice and expertise to all levels within an organisationAbility to negotiate and deliver agreed outcomes whilst working with minimal supervision and to strict deadlines.Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, ideally with an injury and compensation management focus or specialisation will be highly regarded.An allied health background is advantageous.Why choose CFAMeaningful Purpose: Your contribution truly makes a differenceWork-Life Balance: Paid parental leave, generous leave provisionsFlexibility: Hybrid work options with flexible work arrangementsDiscounts: Emergency Memberlink discounts on various servicesWellbeing Focus: Health Ready programs, flu vaccinationsMember Assistance Program: Access support across 8 service pathwaysYour ApplicationClick the `Apply' button to access our online application portal.
