Key Areas of Responsibility (What You’ll Do)
1. Scope and co-develop production-level data science projects with our customers across different industries and use cases.
2. Help users discover and master the Dataiku platform via user training, office hours, and ongoing consultative support.
3. Provide strategic input to the customer and account teams that help make our customers successful.
4. Lead Data Scientist long-term engagements: You will coordinate agile sprints, prioritize tasks, estimate effort, do backlog grooming.
5. Provide data science expertise both to customers and internally to Dataiku’s sales and marketing teams.
6. Lead technical data science projects pre-sales scoping and design appealing proposals.
7. Flag technical and non-technical account risks (onboarding issues, performance pitfalls, timeline slippage).
8. Navigate customer conflict and de-escalation, in particular on churn-risk engagements.
9. Develop custom Python-based “plugins” in collaboration with Solutions, R&D, and Product teams, to enhance Dataiku’s functionality.
10. Run demo booth/tech talk duties at company public events (e.g. Everyday AI).
11. Contribute to internal assets (internal best practice or external blog post/project on the public gallery).
12. Mentor junior team members.
Experience (What We’re Looking For)
1. Curiosity and a desire to learn new topics and skills.
2. Empathy for others and an eagerness to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues, Dataiku’s customers, and the general public.
3. The ability to clearly explain complex topics to technical as well as non-technical audiences.
4. Over 8 years of experience in advanced analytics, data science projects, or consulting.
5. Over 5 years of experience with Python and SQL.
6. Over 5 years of experience with building ML models and using ML tools (e.g. sklearn, tensorflow, pytorch).
7. Experience with Consulting and/or Customer-facing Data Science roles.
8. Experience with LLM.
9. Experience with data visualization and building web apps with Python frameworks (Dash, Streamlit).
10. Understanding of underlying data systems such as Cloud architectures and SQL.
11. Travel to the client site.

2. Experience working in the Financial Services Industry.
