We're looking for an experienced and motivated Cook to join our busy kitchen team. If you're passionate about great food, love working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering quality dishes, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Cook at The Station, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of menu items, maintaining high standards of food quality, and ensuring consistency in every dish that leaves the pass. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver excellent meals and a great dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard
* Monitor and regulate cooking temperatures of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment
* Ensure all food items are stored and handled safely in temperature-controlled facilities
* Season and present dishes with care, ensuring great flavour and presentation
* Cater to special dietary requirements as needed
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times
* Assist with stock control, portioning, and daily prep
* Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff or apprentices
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
* Great attention to detail and passion for delivering quality meals
* Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, and evenings
