**How will I help?**
Group Operations (GO) consists of 4 lines of business with over 5000 people across five countries. Each Business delivers services for our customers and our people and manages significant spend across Westpac Group. Mortgage Operations is a key part of our Group Operations team and is responsible for bringing our Group vision to life by building a team of the best home loan experts focused on delivering 'magic' moments for our customers, business partners and each other
As a Team Leader in Credit Operations, you will be a key member of the Mortgage Operations business and your role is paramount to helping contribute the delivery of Westpac's vision. You will lead and inspire a team to learn, develop and continually strive to deliver effective and positive outcomes for our customers; and lead the optimisation of Credit Decisioning within the groups' risk appetite.

- Build positive relationships and strong engagement with brokers, lenders, Mortgage Operations Teams, key Westpac Stakeholders, and business partnerships.

- Actively promote a strong risk culture that ensures risk and compliance are a key consideration in any decisions, highlight any identified risks and lead the development of mitigation plans; and report anything that doesn't seem right.
**What do I need?**
You will be customer focussed leader and will aim to meet our mortgage operations lending needs to deliver sound, customer focused risk/reward outcomes within the risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Similar experience in the banking/ financial services industries
- Confident communicator - both written and verbal - able to build professional partnerships with internal and external customers
- You are analytical and have high attention to detail. Furthermore, you can work autonomously and can manage to workload based in priorities.
- Strong attention to detail while still delivering within expected accuracy and timeliness guidelines
