About the role
We're looking for an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of our South Australian territory and drive continued growth across our trade and merchant network.
This role is responsible for developing strong relationships across plumbing contractors, merchants and key trade partners, while identifying and converting new business opportunities. You'll be out in the field, ensuring Zip maintains a strong presence in market and continues to grow both sales and brand visibility across the region.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and grow sales across the South Australian territory
* Build and maintain strong relationships with plumbing contractors, merchants, and trade partners
* Deliver against sales and margin targets for the region
* Maintain a structured call cycle with regular face-to-face customer engagement
* Develop and execute business development plans with key accounts
* Drive pipeline growth across service and project opportunities
* Ensure strong in-store presence, including product displays and POS execution
* Deliver product training and support to channel partners
* Monitor competitor activity and industry trends
* Manage customer follow-ups, enquiries and project tracking
* Maintain accurate reporting via Salesforce and contribute to weekly sales meetings
About you
* Proven experience in field sales, ideally within plumbing, building, HVAC, or trade-based industries
* Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
* Commercially driven with a strong focus on sales performance and growth
* Highly organised with the ability to manage a territory independently
* Confident delivering training and engaging with trade customers
* Comfortable using CRM systems and managing reporting requirements
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong accountability
