Senior Civil/Earthworks Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil/Earthworks Manager to lead our diverse civil and earthworks division based in Albany.
* The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing Supervisors, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring consistent delivery across multiple regional sites.
* The Senior Civil/Earthworks Manager will be responsible for leading and mentoring Supervisors in bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, road rehab, pits, subdivisions, carpark builds, and general civil packages.
* Daily/weekly site attendance is required to check progress, resolve issues, re-sequence work, and maintain productivity and quality.
* Labor, plant, subcontractors, and materials coordination is necessary across several active job fronts.
* Maintaining high safety and QA standards through toolbox talks, audits, corrective actions, and compliance checks is crucial.
* Preparing and reviewing production reports, cost forecasts, site diaries, and risk items for senior management is essential.
* Resolving technical issues, client requests, variations, and operational bottlenecks promptly is vital.
* Implementing process improvements to lift Supervisor performance and reduce delays and rework is key to success.
The successful candidate will possess a strong technical and practical understanding of earthworks sequencing, survey levels, QA requirements, and productivity drivers. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are also required. A current driver's license and valid Australian work rights are necessary.
