POSITION SUMMARY
The Club Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient club management, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves financial reconciliations, supervising staff, ensuring high levels of customer service, and maintaining operational standards.
This role mainly consists of afternoon and evening shifts, with regular weekend and public holiday availability required.
Minimum 1 year experience in club or hotel management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Management
* Oversee daily club operations, ensuring smooth service across all departments (bar, gaming, bistro, promotions, functions, and reception) and coordinate and manage staff to maintain efficient workflow and service delivery.
* Conduct venue inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.
* Proficient in all aspects of poker machine operations, including payouts, resets, fault handling, and compliance with gaming regulations, and ensure there is attentive customer service on the gaming floor while ensuring RCG standards, AML obligations, and venue procedures are upheld.
* Handle member and guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
* Liaise with the Functions Coordinator or Events Manager to ensure event requirements are understood and executed as planned.
* Supervise the setup, execution, and pack-down of functions, ensuring all logistics (AV, room setup, staffing, catering) are completed to standard.
* Act as the main point of contact during functions for both clients and staff.
* Ensure event schedules are followed, guest expectations are met, and any issues are promptly resolved.
Financial & Administrative Duties
* Perform daily reconciliations of takings.
* Manage cash handling procedures, including floats, banking, and discrepancy investigations.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting in line with club policies and financial regulations.
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier management to maintain adequate levels.
Compliance & Security
* Ensure all staff adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) policies.
* Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements.
* Oversee security procedures, including incident reporting and conflict resolution.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a registered club, hospitality, or similar venue.
* Current RSA & RCG, and ARCG certification.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of club operations, gaming, and liquor regulations.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
* First Aid Certification.
* Experience with club-specific systems (e.g., point-of-sale, gaming systems, membership databases).
