4119: Corporate Communications Senior Manager ANZ
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute Accenture's external communications strategy for ANZ, balancing proactive brand‐building with strong reputation stewardship in support of regional priorities and local business goals.
* Create and tailor high‐quality content to support the media strategy, including news releases, bylines, op‐eds, media pitches, messaging documents and executive briefing materials.
* Manage media relations agencies and other external partners to deliver integrated, high‐impact communications programs.
* Advise and prepare senior business leaders and subject matter experts for media engagement, thought leadership opportunities, issues response and reputation‐sensitive situations.
* Lead local reputation management efforts by identifying emerging risks and issues, shaping response strategies and supporting crisis communications to help protect Accenture's brand in ANZ.
Required Skills and Experience
* Understanding of the technology and professional services landscape in ANZ, including the issues and trends shaping business, talent and innovation.
* Grasp of emerging technology trends, with curiosity and a continuous learning mindset.
* Ability to think strategically and proactively generate high‐impact media opportunities, programs and executive visibility opportunities in support of business priorities.
* Experience in issues and crisis management, including assessing local reputation risk and supporting effective response strategies.
* Strong journalist relationships and a track record of generating high‐value coverage across business, technology and trade media.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong writing and editing capability and the ability to translate complex technology topics into clear, compelling content for different audiences.
* Proven ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders on media strategy, issues management and reputation‐sensitive situations, earning their trust and confidence.
* Experience working in a matrixed, global organization and collaborating effectively across local, regional and global teams, business groups and external partners to deliver communications objectives.
* Ability to negotiate, manage conflict, build consensus and navigate complex challenges across teams and stakeholders.
* Continuous learning mindset and a willingness to build new skills in support of growth and innovation.
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire teams, innovate and solve complex problems.
* Experience managing agencies, budgets and complex communications programs.
Travel Expectations
Some travel may be required across Australia and New Zealand.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.
* Minimum 15 years of combined agency and in‐house experience in corporate communications, public relations or media relations, ideally in technology and/or professional services.
