* Seeking an Early Years Coach to join our amazing Early Years Pedagogy team
* Fixed term contract for 8 months, 4 days a week with a possible extension; School Readiness Funding dependent
* Salary range: $97,742 - $122,224 per annum (pro‐rata) plus superannuation in accordance with qualification and experience

What you'll be doing
* Build sustained relationships with early years teams to work collaboratively to drive continuous improvement and best practice
* Use coaching strategies to support individuals, teams and services growth by implementing evidence‐based pedagogy and inclusion strategies, and supporting School Readiness Funding outcomes
* Operate within the requirements of Council policies and procedures and SRF regulatory requirements
* Identify and discuss opportunities to extend community interest, resources and practice change in line with the SRF objectives
* Use a collaborative approach to supporting educators to learn and adopt new approaches to inform their work with children
* Apply the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework to implement coaching processes with a key focus on reflective practice
* Demonstrate working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
* Keep abreast of current issues and contemporary early childhood research to support services' ongoing continuous improvement
* Use reflective practice and additional strategies to promote positive outcomes for early childhood educators, teachers and the children they influence
* Through coaching techniques provide feedback and information that is accurate, current, meaningful and comprehensive
* Support critical reflection on service systems and identify where small changes could lead to positive outcomes for children and families
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role
* Maintain an understanding of early childhood governance policies and guidance including Early Childhood Australia's Code of Ethics, UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010, the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
* Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring early childhood staff
* Ability to support early years educators and teachers in developing, documenting, implementing, evaluating and critically reflecting on their selected SRF menu items
* Ability to plan work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
* Ability to develop relationships and partnerships with early year educators and teachers to promote shared learning and collaboration and experience working with children and families in diverse communities
* At least 5 years' experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher/Educational Leader in early childhood services
* Completion of a DE certified coaching program (Effective Mentoring Training Program) or equivalent certified coaching/mentoring program, or currently enrolled in such a program with completion date by November 2026
Required Certifications & Qualifications
* Qualifications suitable for a teacher under the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Department of Education and Training Victorian Kindergarten Funding Guide
* Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, which demonstrates suitability for employment as a teacher in children's services
* Victorian driver's licence
