We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Perth.
About the role
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you'll be surrounded by colleagues who lift each other up, and you'll be equipped with tailored training, tools and mentorship to help you thrive both professionally and personally. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you'll enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to structure your day while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from workplace injury or illness. You'll guide clients through their rehabilitation journey, supporting their return to health, work, and everyday life by delivering tailored occupational rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants to reduce administrative workload
* Apply clinical expertise to improve return to work outcomes and collaborate with employers and employees to deliver injury prevention initiatives and workplace education programs
* Work closely with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals across schemes including workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare and DVA
* Conduct assessments such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessments
* Support individuals with injury or health conditions to achieve sustainable return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes
* Develop and implement tailored Return to Work plans
Qualifications and skills
* Qualification in Occupational Therapy
* Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or eligibility to obtain
* Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships
* Excellent time management skills – able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
* A desire to problem solve with confidence to be innovative, use initiative and achieve results
* A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and associated health benefits
* Current driver's licence and access to own vehicle
