Marine Services Manager – Darwin, NT
We are seeking an experienced Marine Services Manager to lead the delivery of critical marine logistics services supporting Australian Border Force and Defence operations.
Based in Darwin, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for end-to-end service delivery, system integration, performance management and continuous improvement across marine supply chain operations.
Our Government & Defence division plays a vital role in enabling operations in some of the most complex and remote environments, delivering high-impact logistics solutions that drive mission success. You will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, driving innovation, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in a highly dynamic and safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the delivery of marine logistics services in line with contractual requirements and SLAs.
* Oversee interoperability between client and internal systems to ensure secure and accurate data exchange.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key government clients and build strong relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Manage subcontractors and supplier performance within the Performance Management Framework.
* Ensure compliance with all HSSEQ policies, systems and legislative requirements and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and environmental performance.
* Lead and mentor a small, geographically dispersed team and foster a collaborative, high-performance and safety-first culture.
To be successful in this role, you will bring
* Proven experience in service delivery, operations or logistics leadership roles.
* Strong understanding of contract management, compliance and KPI frameworks.
* Experience working in marine, defence, or complex logistics environments.
* Demonstrated ability to manage systems, data, and operational performance.
* Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement capability.
* Excellent problem‐solving, analytical and decision‐making skills.
* Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
Security Requirements
* Must be an Australian Citizen for Defence Security Clearances.
* AGSVA Baseline Clearance (Australian Government Security Vetting Agency).
* Department of Home Affairs ESC Clearance (Employment Security Clearance).
