Brief Description
The Fleet Manager is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management and cost-effective operation of our on-road Assessors' vehicle fleet.
This pivotal role manages the key Fleet Management Service Provider relationship, ensuring high performance, compliance, and alignment with business strategy and sustainability goals.
The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on administration, financial control, and stakeholder liaison across multiple departments.
Position Accountabilities
Oversee the full lifecycle of the vehicle fleet, including procurement, vehicle compliance, maintenance, and disposal.
Manage the FMSP contract and performance, ensuring service excellence and value for money.
Act as the primary internal contact for coordination of vehicle allocation, returns, fuel cards, and fleet-related support.
Develop and implement fleet strategy aligned with organisational objectives and ESG targets.
Maintain accurate fleet data, records, and reports using internal systems and tools.
Administer fleet financials including budgeting, reconciliation, and invoice processing.
Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and timely vehicle servicing.
Partner with Finance for FBT reporting and other compliance audits.
What Experience You'll Bring
Proven experience managing large fleets (100+ vehicles).
Strong commercial, financial, and contract management acumen.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute fleet strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
High-level organisational and administrative ability with attention to detail.
Proficiency with fleet management systems and data reporting tools.
