The Opportunity
As the Regional Manager, Northern for Geotech you will report directly to the Chief Operations Manager and be a critical member of Geotech's Senior Leadership Team. You will serve as the key contact and representative for Geotech's largest growth sector, managing operations and relationships with Acciona and the wider market in the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing project teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, resolving site issues.
* Analyse new opportunities that align with the organisational business strategy, evaluate direct costs to ensure they are accurate and achievable.
* Facilitate transitions between pre-contract stage to project delivery, managing quantity tracking throughout the design phase to enable accurate tracking of budget costs.
* Make decisions on accepting projects based on business cases and ensure decisions consider interdependence between projects.
* Ensure that project risks are managed effectively, and appropriate strategies are in place to respond to variances.
* Ensure construction meets the budget and constructability requirements.
* Direct the development of effective systems for establishing and measuring accountabilities and evaluate ongoing effectiveness.
* Inspire a culture that respects the obligation to manage public monies and other resources responsibly and with the highest standards of probit.
* Analyse usage of DE tools in sharing information and collaborating during design processes, promote DE technologies and application in the field and supporting site personnel.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
* 10+ years' experience in a Project Manager or similar leadership role within the infrastructure environment.
* Previous experience in coaching and mentoring, providing direction to employees and workforce.
* Demonstrated behaviour in reducing costs and meeting budgets and understanding operational application of all the project standards.
* Working knowledge of contractual requirements and legislation relevant to the project.
