Primary objective
Foster high quality service-orientated business management support, providing high-level advice and operational support to the Senior
Director on all Divisional business administration matters, such as budgetary and staffing activities, recruitment, workforce issues and
records management.
Context statement
ICT Services provides ICT hardware and software services to client agencies to meet business requirements, this includes end user services
such as the ICT Service Centre, End User Computing, Network Management, Voice and Telecommunications including internet. This
position leads the provision of support across all business units and plays a key role in streamlining business management practices across
the Division.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide high level support and professional advice on the provision of business administration services and coordinate the delivery of
business plans and various monthly reports, staffing and establishment processes, budgetary management and corporate reporting
requirements for the Division.
1. Provide a first point of contact for guidance, support and advice to Directors and Managers on maintaining effective and efficient
resourcing management practices as it specifically pertains to a growing operational ICT environment.
1. Take part in business and workforce planning decision making and contribute to the overall operational management and efficient
running of the ICT Services division.
1. Lead and manage a small team with the responsibility for Divisional executive assistance, operational administrative and resourcing
support; lead and/or actively contribute to business operations projects.
1. Oversight all establishment and staffing acquisition activities including preparing internal approvals, job descriptions, coordinating
panels, preparing documentation; and assist with contracted resource engagements as required.
1. Develop and maintain effective partnerships across the Division and inter and intra departmental stakeholder relationships to enable
continual workforce improvement.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide specialist authoritative advice and direction and interact
with influence with a diverse range of stakeholders, including at the executive level.
1. High level, conceptual and analytical ability including proven capacity to analyse data and produce meaningful reports.
2. Experience in leading, developing, mentoring and managing staff, and fostering a harmonious team environment.
3. Demonstrated experience in human resource, administrative and financial management with thorough knowledge of best-practice
resource planning, acquisition and management.
1. Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, effectively manage competing priorities and
remain agile in a growing working environment.
1. Demonstrate reliability and high standards of professionalism and integrity with ability to maintain confidential, and commercially
sensitive information.
1. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practise,

Desirable
1. Relevant qualifications in business management or human resource management.
1. Familiarity with the NTPS digital services environment.
