About The Role
As Senior Accountant, you will own the full cycle of financial management and reporting, with responsibility spanning:
* Leading month‐end and year‐end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
* Preparing monthly management reports and variance analysis
* Coordinating external audits and preparing Annual Financial Statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements
* Managing statutory lodgements, including ACNC, ACFR, QFR, BAS, FBT, and grant acquittals
* Supporting the billings and claiming process, debt collection reporting, and accounts payable oversight
* Administering finance systems, including general ledger, chart of accounts, and user access
* Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide clear, timely financial insights
* Providing day‐to‐day guidance and oversight to a small team, supporting their development and ensuring high standards are met
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency across the finance function
About You
You are a Motivated, Detail‐oriented Finance Professional who brings both technical strength and a collaborative approach to your work. Our client is looking for someone with:
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
* CA or CPA qualification (essential)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting
* Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems highly regarded
* Strong communication skills and the ability to translate financial information for non‐finance audiences
* A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive, solutions‐focused approach
* The ability to obtain a current Police Clearance (vulnerable groups)
