We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Advisor to support and enhance HSE systems, compliance, risk management, and sustainability initiatives across our Australian operations. This permanent, full‐time opportunity based at our Clayton Headquarters offers the chance to work across a diverse business environment while partnering with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and positive safety outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the HSE manager, you will be an integral part of the HSE team, where you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE systems, processes, and programs aligned with legislative, ISO, and organisational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development, review, and continuous improvement of HSE management systems, policies, procedures, tools, and documentation
* Conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
* Managing hazard and incident reporting processes, including regulatory notifications and corrective action tracking
* Coordinating HSE training activities, campaigns, and well‐being initiatives
* Supporting environmental and sustainability programmes, reporting, and compliance activities
* Assisting with ISO audit preparation and action management
* Maintaining HSE databases, records, statistics, and document control systems
* Monitoring health surveillance requirements and coordinating external service providers
* Partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve HSE performance and compliance outcomes
* Leading and coordinating drug and alcohol testing programmes across sites
* Supporting injury management including root‐cause coordination alongside HR and well‐being teams
* Occasional travel to other Victorian sites including Dandenong and Anglesea
You are a highly organised and collaborative HSE professional with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for workplace safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environment role within a corporate, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment
* Qualification in WHS/OHS or related discipline (Certificate IV or Diploma)
* Experience with HSE systems, audits, risk assessments, incident management, and compliance processes
* Strong, current knowledge of relevant WHS legislation and ISO standards
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Teams, and Forms
* Experience using HSE management systems / databases (e.g. Enablon or similar)
* A proactive, positive, and solutions‐focused approach
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable
* Lead Auditor Training in ISO and/or ISO is desirable
* Experience delivering HSE training and presentations
