Overview
Administration Officer – Be the Backbone of Our Rural Health Service.
At Southern NSW LHD our Administration Officers play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across clinical and non‑clinical departments. Your skills will help keep our rural health service running effectively and support our community's wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing
The Central Intake Officer provides support services for all aspects of community health intake processes to ensure patients, clients and consumers are connected with the right service as quickly as possible, records are kept and they are informed throughout the process.
Selection Criteria
* Experience working in a community based health service, or similar service, with an understanding of multidisciplinary practice.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Community Health Services and ability to interpret and apply Medical Terminology appropriately.
* Demonstrated high level customer service skills, including experience in client screening, and assessment.
* Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage workloads.
* A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage referrals and enquiries with sensitivity and respect.
* Computer literacy in electronic referral processing, patient administration and medical record systems as well as standard corporate packages.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
