Field Equipment Maintenance Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mechanical maintainer to join our team. This role involves contributing to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in the field equipment maintenance areas of the business.
This position supports a 2-panel day shift, 42-hour roster (Monday to Sunday). You will be based at Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth, located 15 kilometers south-west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in field equipment maintenance.
* Work on OEM fleet including Letourneau Loader, 9800/9400 Liebherr & Hitachi 3600/5600 Excavators and Drills.
* Operate within the 2-panel day shift, 42 hours roster (Monday to Sunday).
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification or equivalent.
* Proven heavy industry experience on Excavators, Drills and Loaders; experience on P&H 4100XPC Shovels and Draglines is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proven ability to work safely in a team environment.
* Proven diagnostic problem-solving skills across the Field fleet.
* Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work.
* Ability to problem-solve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* SAP experience.
* Previous OEM experience.
* Industry-relevant qualifications (high-risk tickets).
* Knowledge of planning/scheduling and risk assessment processes.
