The Opportunity
Our office is looking to appoint an ambitious and hardworking Conveyancer/Property Lawyer with a minimum of 4 years conveyancing/post admission experience to join our team. You will be expected to work autonomously as well as in close contact with our Principals and assistants.
The applicant should have extensive experience in Conveyancing/Property Law, taking carriage of matters from start to finish.
Experience in the lodgement of plans/easements/covenants etc as well as preparation of leases will be viewed favourably.
The role will involve a number of duties including but not limited to:
* Obtaining instructions from clients.
* Preparing contracts for the Sale of Land, Off the Plan and Commercial properties.
* Obtaining all searches, pest & building reports, strata reports, statutory inquiries.
* Liaising with our clients in relation to their matter.
* Negotiating with the other party.
* Preparing settlement figures.
* Liaising with incoming & outgoing mortgagees.
* Finalising settlements through PEXA.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* At least 4 years' Conveyancing/Property Law experience.
* Be a licensed conveyancer/admitted lawyer.
* Strong drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail; you produce clear, accurate work product and take ownership of quality.
* Confident managing competing deadlines in a busy practice - calm under pressure and adaptable when priorities shift.
* Professional, client‐centred communicator with sound judgment and empathy - able to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Proactive and resourceful - comfortable working autonomously while knowing when to elevate or seek guidance.
* A charismatic and energetic personality.
