ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a motivated Project Cost Controller to fulfil a position within a highly renowned maritime company. This role will suit someone with strong project controls or project accounting experience who enjoys working with financial data, reporting, forecasting, and Earned Value Management (EVM) processes to support project delivery and strategic decision-making.
Role is based in Sydney, however hybrid and flexible working arrangement are available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver accurate project performance reporting using financial data and Earned Value Management (EVM) frameworks
* Develop EVM reporting outputs and work closely with Control Account Managers to analyse and explain variances
* Maintain and update project cost baselines, ensuring integration of schedule changes into reporting systems
* Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial reporting for a range of stakeholders
* Manage project ledger activities and support Oracle ERP system administration, including booking codes and queries
* Ensure adherence to internal governance, accounting standards, and corporate reporting requirements
* Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
* Currently holds a Australian Defence Security Clearance to Baseline/NV1
* Good communication skills across business internally and with suppliers and client
* Cost controller experience in a diverse range of projects and EVM skills
* Ability to integrate and reconcile data from various systems
* Prior experience as a cost accountant/cost analyst/cost controller/project support role cwould be a bonus
