We are supporting with a globally recognised leader in renewable energy and battery storage technology to appoint their first EHS Business Partner in Australia.
This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the EHS function from the ground up, playing a critical role in supporting the safe scale-up of operations across a fast-growing, future-focused business.
The Opportunity
As the inaugural EHS hire in Australia, you will take full ownership of establishing frameworks, embedding best practice, and shaping a strong safety culture across both corporate and site-based operations.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor while rolling out scalable systems to support growth across energy and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and embed EHS policies, systems, and procedures across the business
* Identify compliance gaps and implement fit‐for‐purpose solutions
* Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple sites
* Drive incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
* Deliver training, inductions, and safety programs
* Partner with leadership and operational teams to build a proactive safety culture
* Provide hands‐on, on‐site support as projects expand
About You
* 5–10+ years' experience in EHS/WHS within energy, renewables, construction, or electrical environments
* Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory frameworks
* Proven experience building or improving EHS systems in greenfield or scaling environments
* A proactive, "builder" mindset with the ability to operate autonomously
* Confident influencing stakeholders across all levels of the business
