Job Overview
To support our mission, we are currently seeking Cadet/Trainee Designers to join our Structural drafting team in our Brisbane office. We are looking for someone with an interest in Structural design.
Responsibilities
* With support, complete detailed 3D designs from rough sketches utilizing the latest Autodesk Plant Design Suites
* Work within budgets and schedules and maintain project files within a paperless digital design office
* Work towards developing multidisciplinary skills and the completion of more complex designs
* Contribute to periodic reporting and regular maintenance of drafting priorities and systems
* Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management systems
* Develop an understanding of Sedgman standard specifications and current industry standards
Qualifications
* Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) of Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree in Engineering for non-trade qualified applicants
* Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) Certificate 4 in Engineering for engineering trade qualified applicants
* Previous experience in design / consultancy / operational environment highly regarded
* AutoCAD or Micro Station experience desirable
* Skills in MS Office suite
* Good mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail
