Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager

The Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for setting the strategic direction of Manufacturing Engineering and ensuring alignment with long‐term business objectives. You will lead a critical function that underpins continuity of supply, operational excellence, and future manufacturing capacity.
You'll work at the intersection of engineering, operations, and commercial strategy - partnering with senior leaders to deliver innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and lead Manufacturing Engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long‐term growth plans
* Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering function, building capability, driving performance, and fostering a high‐performing team culture
* Enable operational excellence, ensuring continuity of supply, improved productivity, cost reduction (COGS), and capacity to meet future demand
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation, including the adoption of new manufacturing technologies such as automation and robotics
* Oversee quality, compliance, and validation, ensuring adherence to QMS, GMP, and effective management of process changes and investigations
* Own manufacturing processes and performance, including monitoring, control, yield improvement, and resolution of quality and reliability issues
* Partner cross‐functionally with Operations, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and senior leadership to align priorities and deliver business outcomes
* Lead capital and engineering initiatives, including investment planning, implementation, and delivery of strategic projects
About You
You're a strategic and hands‐on engineering leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments. You bring a strong commercial mindset, coupled with deep technical expertise and the ability to influence at all levels.
You will bring
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (Master's preferred)
* Previous experience in a regulated industry (medical device or pharmaceutical preferred)
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams
* Strong background in manufacturing engineering and operational support
* Demonstrated success in Lean Manufacturing and structured problem‐solving methodologies
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
