We are seeking a qualified and motivated Carpenter to join our local government team based at their Yamanto Depot. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, maintaining safe work practices, and contributing to the effective delivery of maintenance and construction projects.
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for providing professional carpentry services and maintenance activities across a range of facilities and infrastructure. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will assist in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform a variety of carpentry and maintenance tasks.
* Deliver high-quality workmanship in accordance with industry standards.
* Conduct risk assessments and undertake job site inspections.
* Prepare estimates for works and services.
* Coordinate and facilitate the purchase of materials and supplies.
* Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
* Undertake other related duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Certificate III in Carpentry/Building.
* Current C Class Driver Licence.
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
* Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Scaffolding Licence.
* Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence.
* Forklift Licence.
What's on offer:
* $55.66 p/hour plus superannuation
* Stable full-time hours with a 76-hour fortnight (6:15am to 3:15pm)
* Initially a temporary assignment to 29/01/2027
