Operator – Bell Bay Aluminium Smelter

About the role
The role of an Operator is vital to the success of our business. Supported by your leader and the experienced team, you will learn to be responsible for supporting our operational departments to ensure the safe and sustainable production of aluminium through the operation of mobile and fixed plant equipment in conjunction with manual duties. You will work in a hot, physically demanding environment, taking on manual tasks that challenge you, but you will not be working alone – you'll be part of a tight‐knit, supportive team that's got your back from day one. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience and build a rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities
* Support operational departments for safe and sustainable aluminium production.
* Work collaboratively in a strong team setting.
* Operate cranes, drive mobile equipment, manage process control, cast hot metal, and perform related tasks.
What you'll bring
* A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
* A current driver's licence.
* A demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and to independently manage your workload.
* A willingness to work in a labour‐intensive role, at heights and in hot environments.
* Ability to work on a 12‐hour shift roster, including days and nights.
