Our clinics in Hervey Bay are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team. This is a Full Time position, working across our clinics in Maryborough, St Stephens Hospital and Fraser Coast. You will be rostered for shifts between 7am-8pm Monday to Friday with optional weekend work available.

Role Overview
* Patient Interaction
o Greet patients professionally and courteously.
o Assist patients with appointment scheduling.
o Explain intake forms to new patients.
* Administrative Tasks
o Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
o Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
o Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, DVA and Workcover.
o Handle internal emails and inquiries.
o Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.
* Collaboration
o Work autonomously and as part of a team.
o Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously.
* Confidentiality
o Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent telephone manner for handling internal inquiries and appointments.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Intermediate computer skills.
Desired Traits
* Personable with excellent communication skills.
* Calm under pressure in a fast‐paced environment.
