Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook and is one of the largest surface mines in Australia. About the Role
An experienced Electrical Planner is required to join the Maintenance team. The position reports directly to the Electrical Superintendent and supports the maintenance of Tier1 assets, including 2×2570 Draglines and three rope shovels, as well as related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule and monitor the maintenance of Tier1 assets to ensure or exceed targeted availabilities.
* Develop effective maintenance plans and assist managers, superintendents and supervisors in their implementation.
* Apply risk‐management processes when planning work.
* Ensure plant and equipment is maintained and repaired in line with production needs, availability targets and statutory obligations.
* Assist in the development of maintenance strategies and budgets for equipment.
Qualifications
* Trade or tertiary qualification in an Electrical or Engineering discipline.
* Intermediate knowledge of MSExcel, Word and Project.
* Experience with plant and mobile equipment maintenance and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP.
* Experience in a similar mining equipment or plant maintenance role.
* Strong communication skills.
* Commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
* Proactive investigation of enhancements to procedures and processes to improve performance, safety and productivity.
