Job Description
As the Mining Services Superintendent, reporting directly to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of water resources across the site, as well as overseeing all contract services including clearing, rehabilitation, crushing, ancillary and support equipment. Your role is critical in ensuring efficient water management, regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and seamless coordination of contractor activities to support mining operations.
About the Role
* Develop, implement, and monitor water management plans to meet site requirements, regulatory compliance and sustainability goals.
* Oversee the coordination and performance management of contract services, including crushing operations, rehabilitation teams, and ancillary and support equipment
* Lead contractor engagement, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Collaborate closely with environmental teams to support site rehabilitation efforts and minimize environmental impact.
* Oversee operation of water infrastructure such as pumps, pipelines, dams, and treatment facilities.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of site-based professionals and contractors.
* Coordinate with mine planning, operations, health & safety, and environmental teams to align water and contract services with broader site objectives.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in water efficiency and contractor management

* Monday to Friday professional roster
* Based on site at HVO
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in the industry.
* Contract management experience.
* Mining Supervisor or Production Superintendent experience.
* A current Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency and Practicing Certificate (Preferred)
* A current Mining Engineering Manager Practicing Certificate (desired).
* Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
* The ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
