Senior Medical Officer – General Practice (Locum) We require an experienced Medical Officer to cover the GP clinic, emergency department (ED) and inpatient medical ward at a Northern NSW hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Provide GP clinic care Monday to Friday 9‑5.
Cover the ED and inpatient ward during the holiday period (19 Dec 2024 – 6 Jan 2025) and on-call as required.
Work as a sole practitioner with direct telephone links to Lismore Base Hospital consultants.
Manage patients in the MPS 15‑bed high‑care Residential Aged Care unit.
Qualifications
PGY5+ in General Practice (GP) or equivalent.
At least five years of experience and/or Fellowship.
Registered with AHPRA in Australia.
Capable of working as a sole practitioner.
Remuneration NSW Health capped locum rate of $2,000 per day (24‑hour period) per rostered shift.
