Business Development Manager – Commercial Appliances
Apply for the Business Development Manager – Commercial Appliances role at Randstad Australia.
Location:
Melbourne (Collingwood base) – required travel within Victoria.
About the Role:
A globally recognized premium Italian home appliance brand seeks a results-focused BDM to lead the sales strategy for the Professional Division in Victoria. The position is integral to the Victorian team, responsible for leading sales performance and driving innovative business growth.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Develop and implement effective sales strategies across the assigned Victorian territory.
Establish productive relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts, negotiating and closing agreements with large customers (e.g., dealers & multi-site chains).
Conduct market research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities, actively generating new leads and developing new business.
Lead and coordinate the Victorian team to achieve sales targets.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and reports for senior management; monitor & analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Support the sales process by generating equipment quotations, managing orders with internal sales, and providing training & commissioning for sold equipment.
Coordinate product demonstrations at the Collingwood showroom and respective Victorian dealers; set up trade shows as required (may involve weekend work).
Skills & Experience Required
Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager in the hospitality equipment industry.
Solid customer-service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
Strong communication and team-management skills.
Analytical skills and ability to interpret sales performance metrics; problem-solving attitude.
Availability to travel as required.
Proactive approach to staying updated on new product launches.
