Main Purpose Of Role
The Product Manager - Software and Services role sits within Aritech Australia, a business unit of Kidde Global Solutions focused on delivering electronic security hardware and software. The Product Manager will work closely with customers in banking, retail, government, critical infrastructure and other sectors to drive product strategy, roadmap execution, and deliver customer‐centric outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the assigned product portfolio. Own the product.
* Maintain personal contact with internal teams, distributors, system integrators and end users to qualify product feature requests, identify potential shortfalls or technical failures, and prioritise development plans with a customer‐first approach.
* Work closely with engineering teams to create products centred on customer feedback, establishing realistic delivery timelines for communication to internal and external stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the broader security and SaaS markets and trends, gathering and analysing intelligence.
* Maintain commercial ownership of the portfolio through management of sales targets, engineering budgets and other objectives as communicated by management.
* Provide pre‐sales technical support and solutions to the internal sales team or external stakeholders when required.
* Develop and present technical presentations to the internal sales team or external stakeholders.
* Engage with internal sales team and customers to understand buyer motivation and develop solutions accordingly.
* Assist in preparing tender submissions in conjunction with the internal sales team.
* Liaise with or present to international teams as and when required.
* Proactively review product pricing to balance profitability and sales impact.
* Work with internal teams to develop internal and external marketing plans and materials for the product portfolio.
* Manage inventory levels and product forecasting.
* Assist with factory production and issue resolution.
* Provide product information, training and advice to internal technical support, documentation writer and trainer as required.

* Experience in creating marketing plans and content for different stakeholder groups.
* Experience managing complete product life‐cycle.
* Experience presenting to small and large groups of people.
* Experience working effectively in a hybrid work environment.
* Ownership of sales targets (revenue and profit).

Professional Competencies
* Tertiary education qualification(s) in Product Management, Project Management, Business or significant previous experience (3+ years in a similar role).

* Good understanding of AWS and general cloud computing architecture.

* Good understanding of operational drivers and control processes of a business.
